The story started in New York City when I relocated my makeup artist career there from Berlin. In a short time, I was in the biggest studios, at the hottest parties, and traveled a lot. When you live there, your mind is constantly buzzing, because you're confronted with new impressions every second. You hang out with models, and the stories are often hard to believe. Having befriended one, I learned how many flights you can fit into a week. NY to Dubai, shoot. Dubai to London, two days of shooting. London to Los Angeles, one day. Then Malta, Paris, and finally back to NY. Five campaigns, and sleep is only possible in economy class.

How can it be that this skincare product works so incredibly well?
What does that have to do with skincare?
I was surprised how much skin has to endure when you have such a job. Most of the people I care for have extreme skin conditions. My task is to immediately recognize, classify, and, if possible, eliminate these. And I only have 10 minutes to do it.
Skincare products you can buy, no matter from whom, can't keep up. Alternatives were needed. I realized that plant oils were ideal for improving skin regeneration almost on contact. The skin cells literally breathed a sigh of relief when I gave them these oils. Initially, I didn't know the reasons, but now I do.
The realization: Skincare should do so much and yet can do so little.
We're aging. It's annoying, but unavoidable. Then there's our lifestyle and other factors. On top of that, we think we're not okay. The question: How can this be improved? Let's let others answer that. But that answer is often not what's in our best interest.
I'll get straight to the point. Skin products are usually formulated too thinly, and are mostly too aggressive. Almost all formulations are off-the-shelf from labs.
A formula that is too thin means the skin is never well-nourished. A product for every problem, because that sells well. Insecurity simplifies the purchase. Disappointment sends you to the next.
And here are two points that are really important:
All creams need emulsifiers. These can dry out the skin, which is why you need more. Because water and oils are emulsified, extensive preservation is necessary. High preservation is not ideal for the skin's microbiome and its protective effect.
And it gets even better.
After realizing all this, I immediately started making my own skincare products for work. Because if you separate cream from water, oil remains. Plant-based oils are preserved only with vitamin E, which is good for the skin and protects the microbiome instead of disturbing it. Water without oil requires preservation, but only as much as necessary. Concentrated active ingredients can be dissolved in water for this purpose. So, although you have two products, you get more efficacy and higher dosage. Each product is used sparingly, without loss of effectiveness.
How does that feel now?
